Terms of Service
Please note: upon submitting a commission request to me, you agree to the following:
Usage and Permissions:
I, as the Artist...
Retain full rights and ownership of the commissioned artwork. This means that I:
1) Maintain the right to post the artwork, at any stage of the process, to my social media accounts.
2) Maintain the right to livestream the process of the artwork and/or record a timelapse of the process to be shared to my social media accounts.
3) Maintain the right to present the artwork in my portfolios and artbooks.Maintain the right to turn down any commission request.
You, as the Client...
Are permitted to use the commissioned artwork for personal use only. This means that you:
1) May post the artwork on social media and personal websites, given that I am credited for the work.
2) May NOT reproduce and/or alter the artwork for commercial use, unless thoroughly negotiated and explicitly agreed upon beforehand. This includes reprints in the form of merchandise (such as posters, clothing, etc.), NFTs, and assets for any projects for profit.
Process, Payment, and Revisions:
What will the process be like?
The commission process will be broken down into three (3) main stages: the initial sketch, the second draft (with line art and flat color), and the final polish.
Although I aim to meet your vision to the best of my abilities, I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to bring reference material for your commission request. This will make the initial sketch phase run much smoother and minimize room for miscommunication.
At each stage, you will receive an update to your commission, along with the opportunity to ask for changes to your commission (please see the Revisions section for further information).
When the artwork is finished, you will receive the full-resolution image along with an optimized web-friendly size.
How will payments work?
Payments are only accepted in USD($), and will be taken via Paypal invoice.
The first 50% of the payment is expected to be paid upfront. The initial sketch will only begin once this half has been received. The second 50% of the payment is expected after the initial sketch has been approved by the client.
If payments are not received within 72 hours following each payment stage, the commission will be canceled.
How will revisions work?
You will receive a maximum of three (3) opportunities to ask for major revisions during the initial sketch phase. Please DO NOT ask for large changes following the initial sketch phase. Doing so could result in additional fees and drastically affect the speed at which your commission request is fulfilled.
Following the initial sketch phase, you will have a maximum of three (3) opportunities to request minor revisions to your commission.
Any further revisions will result in an additional fee that must be paid in full before they are fulfilled.
Cancellation and Refunds:
If you decide to cancel your commission at any point during the process, you are entitled to a partial refund. PLEASE NOTE: This partial refund is subject to change on a case-to-case basis, and will depend on the completion status of your commission (capped at a maximum of 50% of the total commission cost).
If, for whatever reason, I am unable to complete your commission request, I will fully refund you the cost of your commission.
